POSReady 2009 is an embedded version of Windows XP and the patches are said to be fully compatible with Windows XP installations. Developed by Harkaz, who has a good track record for delivering unofficial fixes for Windows, the unofficial service pack includes all previously released updates for Windows XP 32-bit, as well as POSReady 2009 updates issued by Microsoft after the April 2014 support cut-off date for XP. Some people can't let Windows XP go, as is evidenced by a new effort to create an unofficial Service Pack 4 for XP.
